Looked up Bong Tree - it says the story may be referring to "Pong tree". Looked that up and OMG. I've seen a lot of amazing trees with branches that raise and lower and curve all over but these seem to be trying to tie the trunk in a knot. That search mentioned "Dancing Trees" - search on that and OMG! Nature is amazing!
