Why are you reporting this puzzle?

A few years ago now, but still really clear in my memory ... on the way back from Glenelg I got a strong smell of petrol as I was driving along Glen Cluanie. I thought some had been spilled on the road and carried on, but the smell got stronger, so I pulled in and noticed that my fuel pipe had fractured. An hour after calling the breakdown service, I was on my way to the garage near Spean Bridge where they repaired it and sent me safely on my way again.

Still a baby! :D
One of our 740s got to just over 350k before it had to be replaced, but most got to 190k-210k without tooooo much trouble! (most of them were bought with close on 100k already on the clock)

My first Volvo was a 340 and my husband had a 360 at the same time and coincidentally they were both the same colour. My V40 2.0 T had done 165,000 miles and the engine was still going strong.

:D A V40 is about the only one I haven't had!

We generally had Saabs before the kids came along 30 years ago when we needed the extra space here's those we have had (all estate versions except the 340/360 - both my wife's cars) -

240GLT turbo; 340GL; 360GL; 740GL (x2), GLT & turbo; 940GLE; 960 celebration LPT (in the photo); V70 T5; currently on a V70 D5! There have been some of them I've put an amazing mileage on with regular travelling to the continent and sometimes weekly trips up to the North West Highlands - couldn't really fault any of them. I do miss the larger boot space of the 740/940s though.

I have a V40 T4 which has replaced my Volvo V40 2.0 T.

Highlander_40

Yes, I still miss this one ... we now have a V70, not the same at all! :D

Volvos are the best.
