The best advice I have heard was to live your life, not your age.
Take care, Peggy.

I miss her and all the Golden Gals! : )

dhi

Thanks 😊

sillychick

I took ASL (American Sign language) as 1 of my college courses ( I signed our Praise & Worship songs) We had a few deaf kids (not goats) in our 2nd daughter's school & 2 of them & their families came 2 our Church, So I went 2 School & learned ( I had 1 of the students in my Sunday School Class. So, like I stated, she is signing I love you backwards (as 2 the meaning here, I do not have a clue)

dhi

Thanks, dj, certainly not what I knew it as growing up.

Donnajames

Actually, I think this is "Hello/Goodbye" or something like "Good Times" Hawaiian style.

dhi

The two of you are priceless.
Thanks for the clarification but I am still waiting for a real answer to my initial question.

sillychick

sillychick

Oh Donna I am sorry it is such a hectic and worrying time for you with regard your husband. Sure hope they can find why and how to fix it. Donna please don’t worry about your comments was just checking up that you were ok. Now I know what’s going on I can pray more specifically. Take care of yourself in the midst of your busyness. Hugs @Donnajames

Donnajames

@JillianB
Jill, I have been really busy the last few days and am tied up all day tomorrow and Wednesday. I will try to get caught up with comments the end of the week (hopefully)! Just hectic schedule with oodles of hubby's doctor appts. then trying to get caught up with all the household chores and shopping. He has one doctor that is trying EVERYTHING under the sun to see what he can do about his blood flow throughout his body. He has some areas that only have about 12% flow! After this round of tests, then it is off to Phoenix, AZ to the doctors down there. Both of us (especially him) are getting tired of this.

JillianB

@Donnajames have missed seeing you for a wee while, hoping you ok? Thoughts and prayers

@sillychick, so sorry you are in on-going pain and suffering. I also have arthritis all over my body. Had both shoulders "fixed" in 2 operations each. Right arm never got back to normal. Had my right hip total replacement - did not get it back to normal either. Been 2-1/2 yrs. with trying to get my back tolerable.. arthritis was the cause of all of it. My vertebrae 3 are all out of whack and 2-1/2 yrss ago they pinched my sciatic nerve and the pain and disablement with that has been so bad. Last session with my spine specialist finally gave me relief. Can't have invasive surgery due to my Pulmonary Arterial Hypertesion, which is not curable. Lungs and heart are both affected. Misery loves company, but all you puzzle makers make life much more tolerable. It has been a God-send that I found this site, thanks to my grandson.

myself1935

Thanks. Silly (which you are not!- l agree that fate has a lot to do with it!
l am so sorry to hear about your health woes-sounds so painful!

sillychick

@myself1935, comment below 4 ewe 2, I just goofed in typing your name, sorry ")

sillychick

@Peggystarr3 & @myself11935, I was raised & I raised our Children to eat right & get plenty of exercise & sunshine, as the experts told us too. Well, w/o boring you too much let me say, it could be worse, butt all that hoop-la they told us to do did not work out so well for our family. How did I get Arthritis (no family history of it) so severe that @ times I can not move, our children (2 girls 1 boy) can not bear children of their own, my Husband is Diabetic (no family history). We DID exercise (Our eldest daughter holds 3 records & was 3x All-American @ the University of Oklahoma in Discus & shot-put). She could run the stadium stairs in college, she rides her Pelaton faithfully everyday, yet her body is feeling the pain, why I ask IF exercise is sooooo wonderful??? I've had both knees replaced (my shoulders need it too), both shoulders rotator cuffs repaired, several back surgeries. We have GR8 insurance, butt still we have issues, plenty of TMI issues. All I can say is we are dealt a hand to play & it is all on how we play it. I know my Jesus can heal me, why He doesn't, I don't know, butt I will trust Him anyway & do the best I can until I see Him. So, ladies just do the best ewe can & take care of what is left the best ewe can. :)

myself1935

LOL is right, Peggy- l am suppose to be moving and doing daily exercises for a current condition and l just don't- l am being defiant and l think l will pay for it... But l just dontwanna!

Peggystarr3

You are right about all of that. Maybe if we all had her money and connections we could be a little better. There just are not too many who live that long and be so healthy. If we did not have the aches and pains time has wrought we could better. Wish I had exercised and all that stuff through my life. Hindsight is so much better than beforehand. LOL

myself1935

She must be blessed with extraordinary genes and a winning personality; tons of friends to care for her and encourage her; the money to look good surgically; and most of all, lots of interesting things to do-
Good for her, but she is not like most of us ordinary mortals-

Peggystarr3

Thank you all. Wish someone could tell me why the older we get the faster time passes. It was a good day - and a fun dinner at a new mexican restaurant in town. Delicious food! All my family from near and far wished me happy birthday. I tell you -why does Betty White still look fabulous. 99 yrs and stll going, like the engergizing bunny. LOL

Happy birthday.

thurman
