Yes the Watercress Line maintains their two, there are several other preserved examples, Flack Manor brewery has one

Very interesting, 21C5. Further reading suggests that Strong's Brewery filled their last barrel in 1981. This begs the question; who is responsible for present day advertising? Perhaps it's the Mid-Hants Railway?

Yuck! red barrel was still being sold in Liquor stores in Huston Texas in the early 2000's I was astonished!!

No more rolling out the Watney Barrel, Dave; they ceased trading in the UK during the 70's. I imagine you already knew that. Swanage is a nice station, although I think the carpark has been developed into a bus terminus, at least photographs suggest that.

There is a Strong's sign at Alton featuring 35005 (21C5), another at Alresford and there is one at the preserved signal box at Romsey The wording changes the near one is to the brewery. Thus the one at Romsey says you are in the Strong country, the one at Alresford this is the Strong country, and Alton you are approaching the strong Country

I travelled on this line during the war. I remember that Swanage was arather attractive station.
On the way down from Waterloo, placards used to say that we were entering the Strong country. Many years later I first drank Strong's beer. I was told it took several years to get used to the taste: I welcomed Watney's Red Barrel when the took over Strongs.
