Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Va Bene was designed by Richard Hein and built by Kees Cornelissen, a Dutch luxury yacht building company, in 1992. Va Bene is 48 meters long (127 feet) and is powered by two 1,750 HP Caterpillar engines.

As the story goes, Clapton chartered Va Bene for a Mediterranean cruise with his friends in 2005. He liked the yacht so much that he purchased it for £9 million (about $12.5 million at today’s exchange rate). Clapton had it refitted in 2007-2008 at Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, Cornwall.

I couldn't agree with you more, Irena!

irmachac

A whole new life has new information and meets new people. There is still something to learn. News is every day. And here I am very happy with ♥

ekopug1

Yes, growing up my family had an set of encyclopedias where we could look things up, usually for school reports, but if the information was not there, then we would go to the public library. It is truly amazing that everything is now so accessible to us. I go to Wikipedia every day to look something up. I agree with you about having friends from all over the world. It makes me realize the world is much larger than I imagined! :o))

irmachac

Yes it is. He thinks that such amenities were not earlier and that one had to learn everything and look for a book. Today you open the counter and you know everything :-)) It's nice to have friends all over the world! I'm really glad ♥

ekopug1

You are so right about about so many people from other cultures can come together and have a good time. There are many friendly people here, and although you may never meet them in person, over time they become good friends and you can have a nice chat any time you are in the mood! I have a "map fetish" and already looked up the Czech Republic on Google Maps. I imagine it covered in snow this time of year! The internet is amazing that way, where most anything you want to know or see is right at your fingertips! :o))

irmachac

It is beautiful that we can all meet here and somehow settle :-) sometimes it's fun. If you have a world atlas, you can find it. We are such a small country. But you have a lot of great people and artists and athletes. Or you can use the internet ... he knows everything ... haha

ekopug1

Oh, that's interesting. I think I know what you mean because I have used "Google translate" before and I know Google dopes not always get it right - usually in verb conjugation. I think English is a difficult language to learn! I think it would be nice if Jigidi published a map of where all of the users come from. Most of the people I have met here are from other English speaking countries . . . here in America, the UK, Canada and Australia, and also some from Mexico, Denmark, France, Germany and the Czech Republic, probably many more than I know of.

irmachac

I can not use English compiler in English. Sometimes it happens to be translated differently than I think ... I'm from the Czech Republic. Central Europe.

ekopug1

Good morning, Irena! I SHOULD be sleeping as it is about 4:30am. I just could not sleep. It happens! That is one of the great things about Jigidi - it is always "open for business." I also enjoy the international population! Your English is very good, where are you from?

irmachac

So now you sleep and we have lunch :-)) So nice day to sleep.

ekopug1

Thanks but no photos taken. At this moment it is 5:50pm. I live in California.

irmachac

I wish you a nice walk. If you take photos, I look forward to new photos. Goodbye

irmachac

Yes, it was shining today. Evening is frost. We have a winter season. We are now at 0:58 in the evening. How about you ?

ekopug1

Thank you, Irena!! I'm just about to head out on a walk/hike! I hope the sun is shining where you are!!

irmachac

Thank you. I wish a nice day full of very nice experiences :-))

ekopug1

Okay, thanks. I'll look it up and "follow" that account also! :o))

irmachac

Thank you for the explanation. I also have two profiles. The other is irmachac2

ekopug1

Yes, simply because people have called me that since about 2010 - I had 2 accounts before ekopug1. I could never remember the passwords so I would create new accounts. Other accounts that I will admit to are yesknow, and ekopug. About 3 years ago I stumbled across the passwords and now have them all in a secure location. Oh, BigBadMango is mine too - I set that up years ago for my dog!

irmachac

Thank you Jim. If I understand the EP, you prefer :-))

ekopug1

I'm James/Jim, but have always gone by EP on Jiggi! Why change it and confuse people???

irmachac

Nice day and what is your name?

ekopug1

Aha . . . "Irena." Got it. Thanks. :o))

irmachac

Thank you. I like to look ... Irena

ekopug1

You're welcome, irmachac. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :o))

Here is Irene's (Jumble) link for better images of the yacht:

irmachac

Beautiful ship. Thanks a lot

wjl1015

Great link Irene!! Thanks!! :))

ekopug1

Wow, I wish I had found that site. Thanks, Irene, those are much better images of his yacht, plus photos of the Ferrari.

Jumble

If you follow the link, it will show you the inside of the yacht, and his one off Ferrari
https://www.superyachtfan.com/yacht-va-bene.html

ekopug1

Yes, I read he collected Ferraris. I did not know he had a one-off project car, I did read that he has a Ferrari that is one of only 100 built. Thanks for that, Irene!

Jumble

Eric is also a Ferrari collector and owns a one-off special project car, the Ferrari SP12 EC. The car was made under Ferrari's Special Projects program and is based on the Ferrari 458 Italia. The car’s value is more than US$ 4 million and bears the licence plate SP12 EPC.

ekopug1

Yes, Irene, isn't it! I read where it was the first time Clapton ever borrowed money to buy anything.

Jumble

That is a lovely looking boat.

ekopug1

Yeah, you ought to check it out; I found it very interesting. I feel the same way about Clapton - I've loved his work since he was in the Yardbirds. Ha! So funny we both do the same thing. I sit in front of the TV with my iPad and spend most of the movie looking up the cast members on IMDb . . . "I wonder if he is still alive . . . Wow, they were married to 'Jane Doe' . . . She's British?" And on and on it goes!!! Ha!!

wjl1015

I will have to check out the documentary. I love Clapton and always have!! I tend to do the same thing and who knows (or cares) where I end up! lol

ekopug1

Absolutely, Joe! Last night I watched the Clapton documentary Life in 12 Bars on Showtime, in fact I watched it twice. I don't believe there was any mention of his yacht, but the documentary got me thinking of different bands, people, wives, children, etc., and that always gets me digging around on Wikipedia, which leads me to other info on the internet. That is how I found the Yacht. :o))

wjl1015

Very nice!! Thanks EP!! :))
