B-52 Departing Barksdale

I worked & flew on these when they were new, 1957, at Fairchild AF Base, Wash, though they were the "D"models, these later models were transferred from Fairchild to Barksdale a few years back. One fantastic Aircraft & weapons platform

Hi there, PatsyNip. Barksdale is an Air Force base located near Bossier City (pronounced 'bowsher.' accent on the bow) Louisiana, which in turn is near Shreveport Louisiana. Thanks for asking. I tend to forget a majority of people don't speak military shorthand. My apologies. 😀
