The Danish word "STÆVN" means the front end of a ship / boat. (the left part of the image). But it also means to have a clear direction about where your heading.
With this little word-game - I think - the poster should encourage people to go to Odense (3rd largest city in Denmark).
I don't think, theres any connection to the German occupation of Denmar (1940-45)


Bow toward Odense would be my interpretation, but in 1943 during the occupation?
