Apples/Carrots - use the perforated vegetable bags
Bananas - Buy more green than yellow to extend their 'shelf' life.
Berries - Rinse in acidulated water to deactivate mould spores, spin dry, place bag in the store-provided 'basket' lined with a paper towel.
Broccoli - clean, cut into bite-size pieces and float in a jug of water.
Lettuce - rinse/clean, spin dry, wrap loosely in a tea towel and then in a bag that is loose
Peaches - rinsed with vinegar water and allowed to dry before storing in the veg crisper with the lid loose.
Watermelon - trim to wedges, store on a plat, uncovered. The fridge will help to concentrate the flavours as the fruit dehydrates over time.
