Crater Lake, Oregon
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
Almost 7700 yrs ago, Mt. Mazama erupted and collapsed, forming a caldera, measuring approx 5x6 miles. Pumice & ash spewed as far as central Canada, and was even found in ancient ice from Greenland! There are no rivers in or out of the Lake. After the eruption, it took a couple hundred years to fill with rain and snow; its present level is maintained by seepage. The lake is 1943' deep, the deepest in the US.
