Dank je schutkleur, Ik zie veel sprinkhanen dit jaar. Hier in de tuin heb ik vaak wat zuidelijke boomsprinkhanen en was struiksprinkhanen, maar nog niet eerder waren het er zo veel! in de avond zitten er tientallen op de buddleia bloemetjes te snoepen ☺

Thanks Patsy, Until a few years back, I didn't know that there where so many different grasshoppers. Some are really difficult to recognize, because the same species can have many different colour variations.

When I saw the legs, I thought it was a grasshopper. But not quite. So I looked it up. It's a bush cricket or katydid and is native to the British Isles. I didn't know that katydids included critters with wings this shape.

Jojosmom, It indeed belongs to the Katydid family ☺
