Naturalized distribution (global)
Locations within which Tithonia diversifolia is naturalized include Australia, south-eastern USA and many islands in the Pacific Ocean.

Introduced, naturalized or invasive in East Africa
Tithonia rotundifolia is naturalized in parts of Kenya and Uganda and in Tanzania. In Kenya, and Tanzania, this species has been found at an altitudinal range of 1500-1700 m.
Habitat
This species invades savanna grasslands, roadsides, degraded land and riparian zones (banks of watercourses).

I still have eleven sunflower puzzles to post and they are each a different color. I never knew there were so many different colors of this amazing flower!

It may even have been in NZ - I have seen red sunflower seeds for sale here. Apparently you can even get white ones!

Yes I have Bernadette, but I can't think where. Not as big as this one though, the smaller variety but just as colourful..
