Jell-O salad

This looks delish! Mom used to put a can of fruit cocktail and sliced bananas in red (strawberry or raspberry) jello. As an adult, I made lime jello with pineapple chunks, shredded coconut and mini marshmallows for desert.
@CJ45 Clive, I am surprised you have never seen a molded jello salad! They were hugely popular in the 50's and 60's here. In the 40's and 50's they made Tomato Aspic with tomato juice and plain gelatin.

Funny story, many years ago when I was married, I was at the in laws for Thanksgiving, someone asked me to pass the salad. I did not see any, so they asked again. I said I do not see any salad, they said, right in front of you. I said that is jello, not salad. they said yes, jello salad. I told them that it was dessert. Anyway ....
