River Valley
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
Out driving towards the interior of BC a few years ago, once you leave the wetter coastal areas, you hit large dry regions that are practically desert. Unfortunately I've lost my notes from back then, so can't remember exactly where this was ... but the person that was with me at the time says it's the Thompson river just north of Spence’s Bridge.
That's one of the reasons the film industry loves southern BC ... within a few hours drive of a major urban area, you have such a wide variety of environments available for projects: temperate rain forest, rolling vineyard/farm landscapes, snow-capped mountain peaks, glaciers, and desolate wastelands. BC can be a stand-in for almost any place on earth (and for some films, even places not on earth :-) ).
