eagleboi and Artola. . .forgive me for not responding in a timely manner to these heartfelt comments. A line from a poem by friend/poet Naomi Nye goes something like "If we had knocked on their door [a opposed to breaking it down], they would have invited us in, and served us tea on a magnificent carpet." It's true. . . hospitality and trust used to reign here. I am certain the hospitality still does. And yes, Jim, I share your worry that we may be past our traveling prime when it becomes easy again. Though I just traveled Bali to Qatar to San Francisco and Belize and soon will make that return journey. Though it won't be long before I will need a younger companion. . .or good long rest between sojourns (which is a good idea). Abjab. . . imagine indeed. . .so much to experience. . .so many wonderful people out there to get to know.
What a beautiful eye catching poster. Lovely vibrant colours. I have just been listening to John Lennon singing Imagine, ....how I wish for world peace. Thank you Audrey
Lands of myth and enchantment, would also love to be able one day to visit the middle eastern countries. I afraid by the time things have settled down my traveling days will be over. Too bad, the people I know from those countries are beautiful people with hearts of gold, far different than the troubles that we read about. Thanks Audrey, walk in peace me friend.
Great poster! I've never been to Syria or Lebanon, but my grandmother was from Syria and I had an uncle from Lebanon. I didn't know either one. And now I hear the terrible heartbreaking news of Syria. Still, someday I would like to travel there. Thank you for this poster. :o)
