LOL! Short people have their own brand of entertainment! lol

I do have a junk drawer in the kitchen. How would we live without those?
On a positive note, I love the new fridge!
My mom used to get annoyed that my dad would clean the top of the fridge off when company was coming. She didn't think anyone could see the top of the fridge anyway, but She was 5'4" and my dad was 5'10" so he could see what she couldn't.

JayneH

Judy, Losing old standbys is always so sad.

"Did you look on top of the fridge?" frequently asked in our household growing up. Since my own home, it's been junk drawer 1 (kitchen) and junk drawer 2 (buffet).

jals

Hey Jayne,
My husband found it this morning when he was cleaning the top of the fridge off. We are getting a new fridge today, and we are moving the present fridge downstairs for an extra fridge. Our extra fridge which was really old, breathed its last, about a month ago.

JayneH

lol, Judy!!

Jayne,
You should have been here when I couldn't find my kitchen timer. I looked for it for a couple of months and could not find it. My cousin bought me a new one in exchange for some sugar cookies, I baked. A couple weeks after the new timer came (which I hated) I found my old timer on my sewing machine table under some fabric. Right now I can't find the swiffer duster I was using and had to buy a replacement handle. Could you please come find my other one? I'm beginning to think it may have been thrown away by accident.
When we were little I remember finding the hidden objects in the Highlights magazines. I loved that.

@JayneH yes, Hidden Objects games are good fun

JayneH

@Ilovejigidicats @jals Oh, we'd make a great team - I'm with you on untangling and/or detangling, a place for everything and everything in its place (orderliness of course) and keeping it that way makes it all so easy. A young man helping me move one time was sooo impressed by my 'sock drawer'. lol! Another event I enjoy is searching for "lost" items. I end the finding with a disappointed, "Now what'll I do"! Lucky I've found "Hidden Objects" games on line! lol!

jals

@Ilovejigidicats I do a lot of crocheting and knitting and when the ball gets tangled, I don't get upset, I just start working with it and sorting it out. I enjoy that.
I think too, organized people are drawn to jigsaws.
I don't remember my dad ever having a mess like this on his workbench. He had a pegboard and everything had a hook to hang on. My husband is a different story. He's more of a big picture kind of guy and when he cleans, he dumps it all in one container and worries about the finding and organizing later. He gets things done. I, on the other hand, like everything to be organized and so it takes me much longer to get things cleaned up.

It reminds me of my lovely husband’s tool chest. He and I are so far apart on the organisation spectrum - but he makes me lovely pots of tea, so that’s alright then :))

@jals I too enjoy sorting out this kind of thing. Another of my favourite tasks is untangling my friend’s Christmas lights when the lights come out of storage. Or untangling any jumble of cables / wires / string etc. Guess that’s why I too like jigsaw puzzles.

Dclo

I believe most everybody's Dad or Grandpa had something like this going on, ha. Thanks jals, jerome, Jayne n pasta. D

jeromevandrews

Thank you, @Dclo. It reminded me of one of dad's drawers at the shop.

jals

Jayne,
It is. My house used to be so organized, then the third child came along and I stopped putting pictures in books, and then I went to work and never felt again that I was on top of things. I'm working toward getting back there. Makes sense about the jigsaw puzzles. 💗💓💖

JayneH

@jals Organization must be your thing . . . it is with me, alluding to why jigsaw puzzles are so appealing.

pasta

Good one!! Thanks Dave and nephew. :)

jals

I enjoy sorting things like this out. Thanks Dave!

Dclo

My nephew sent it to me so I figure you two are buddies? Ha. Thanks Biz, Dave

How did you photograph my toolbox?

Dclo

Thank you for playing it, Jayne. It takes someone willing to go the extra mile to go after this ugly lil thing, ha. Kudos on that, Dave

JayneH

Now that was a good puzzle! Tough, but fun.
