We used to live not far outside of Chicago. We used to visit Chicago because of its diversity, and many museums and other interesting sites. Unfortunately, it now has become too dangerous for us to venture into the city. I have over the years collected some great skyline photos. I will post one or two. At least they bring back the good memories of Chicago.

I’m talking about a mix of interests, the Field Museum of Natural History, which even has the actual Man-Eaters of Tsavo on display, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Shedd Acquarium, in addition to the city's many art museums and the Oppenheimer Gallery of original John J. Audubon prints. The Field Museum has the one of the largest natural history collections in the world. Only Washington, DC rivals Chicago.

Chicago has a lot of great museums, but New York City has the Guggenheim and the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and they're close enough that in good weather it's a nice walk along central park from one to the other.
And the Intrepid, of course.

Chicago has the best mix of great museums in America.

Those are nice photos. You are right, it looks like one of the bulls only has one tusk. Thanks for sharing.

I found a couple of pictures of this display.

A wider shot of the two elephants from the same direction.

A shot from above and from the opposite direction. It looks like the elephant only has one tusk?
