Yellow Iris

@DJ, the propane tanks here are color coded based on the company that services them. It is painted with aluminized roof paint, not galvanized. Hope that helps.

Nancy, can you paint the propane tank? Green would really blend in nicely. :-)) dj

@nanapuzzler I just now realized the deep purple iris standing right next to it! That will be a stunner! Tall too!

@ParsonWayne I knew them as flags, smallish light purple ones.
Edna St Vincent Millay wrote in a poem

It’s a distressing poem though, you might find it interesting, as religious poetry.

@nanapuzzler I have a patch of heavily scented big yellow irises too! all stuck together in a 3 x 5 bed behind my rowhouse, blooming now too. I used to make a big deal of cutting them and putting them in the house in a giant vase, taking off the spent flowers and the lower ones would then bloom. But now, cats, won’t leave them alone! Peonies in bloom now too. I had to put them in the fridge!

Pretty...Do your yellow irises smell lemony (mine did, as did my Purple 1's smell like Grapes & so forth)?
