Why are you reporting this puzzle?

I thought we might go a bit vintage with the new month. July is mid-winter here and the veld is very dry and sere with many of the colours in the fabrics here. The last of the leaves have gone on the deciduous trees in blasting gale force winds from the north, the west and the south over the past few days. With the wind there is dust, especially from the vehicles on our dirt road. The fiddlewood leaves are starting to turn beautiful orange and green at the moment.

Thanks Jayne.

There is an interesting article on the designer Stig Lindberg.

I'm fine thanks Kim. Not too sure myself as I hadn't noticed her particularly. I think it's a picnic scene and she's holding a towel in front of herself but I shall see if I can find out anything more!. Very intriguing.

Hey Jayne, how are you? Better than that poor girl tied up to the giant tree, surely! Those two panels - light and dark - have definitely piqued my imagination. Is there a back story that you can share with us? Thank you .... I like the multi stripes interspersed with the florals, and the cream, gold and orange zig-zags that almost look like a flame stitch.

Doing just that Judy dear. It turned cold this afternoon so we're cuddled in for the night. Glad you liked this one. Having fun with the vintage theme. YF Jayne

Dear Jayne, Interesting choice of fabrics to illustrate your surroundings...and a fun idea, too! Stay warm and safe from those winds, and the awful virus, as well. Hurry up, second jab! Hugs, Judy

Thanks so much Jos. We haven't had much cold weather at all this winter. The evenings can be chilly but not by European standards really. Our cold weather comes howling up from the Antarctic hits Cape Town and the Cape peninsula first and then keeps blowing from south/south westerly to bring cold and rain. Before that we have hot Berg winds blowing down from inland mountains and plateau and temperatures had easily hit 28C during the day. Then it all goes into reverse and the temperature will drop to 15 - 17C within a couple of hours. I hope your days brighten up. Keep well. Jayne

Gosh yeah, for a moment I forgot you're in a different season than we are .... with gale force winds, how cold does it get where you are? Over here it's supposed to be Summer, but every day I wake up to clouded skies, drizzling rain, and I can blow little 'clouds' without even having to smoke. ;)
Thanks for the lovely puzzle Jayne, it was a joy to solve it. Have a good weekend!!
