I’ve always found people from Asian countries to be particularly beautiful. While working in Atlanta years ago I walked up to a MARTA platform to catch a train to downtown. Ahead stood a group of teenagers, a couple of them Asian, Japanese perhaps, but I’m only guessing. As I got off the steps one of the boys started to speak. “All ya’ll gonna go to the movie or what?” he said with the most charming Georgian accent. I had to turn my head away. I didn’t want them to see me starting to laugh. It was such a wonderful surprise to hear that mellifluous sound coming from the young man’s face. It made me feel happy the rest of the day.
