Thanks calluna, Especially in the mornings it's very quiet and peaceful there.

calluna

Love this! ...nice oasis with lots of different plants and the sea beyond.....plus critters to photograph. No wonder you enjoy your walks here! 😊😊

liertje1978

Thanks GG, and you're welcome. That's exactly why I love going there ☺

liertje1978

It sure is Ella, there are multiple trails indeed where you can spent quite a few hours. on the Horizon is The north sea ☺

GOSPELGRANDMA

Looks like a wonderful place to go on a hike, and to get photos! Thank you, Liertje! ☺

What a great place to explore! I assume there are lots of trails and it that the ocean I see along the horizon?

There sure is Atsutsa, and every few weeks the view changes with the different plants going into bloom. now is the yellow fase and in a few weeks it will be the Purple fase ☺ There are a lot of dune specific bugs, you won't find anywhere else. this year though the number of bugs is worryingly low in my opinion. I guess the long cold spring is partly to blame for that.

Thanks Tisketsmum. It's a wonderful place for me to find some quiet time from the busy city. The last few years there has been a lot of building near our house and almost all oft thegreenery has disappeard here for highrise buildings. The park near our home has also partly fallen victim to the buildings, and what's left is maintained wrong by the council, so almost all the flowering plants have made way for just nettles. The dunes are a 25 minute walk from our home, and once you're there it doesn't feel like it's in the city at all.

Nice memory to the many duin-wandelingen with my parents in the late 1940s

Prachtig duingebied liertje!! Volop in bloei. Met voornamelijk stalkaars, teunisbloem en jacobskruid zo te zien. Althans : al dat geel springt er goed uit.
Je boft maar! Hoe ver moet je er voor fietsen?

Atsutsa

Lots of variety of plants there....and probably lots of bug and animal life too! Lovely.

It looks a lovely area and fortunate that it must be quite close to home. Green spaces have proved to be very important to people during the pandemic, but they've always been important to me and I imagine to you too.
