Why are you reporting this puzzle?

I lost my beloved cat Bailey just shy of her 15th birthday. This is one week before, when she was playing and happy.
She lost the twinkle in her eyes, the following week and I knew it was time to say goodbye. I had her euthanized at home, in my arms. It has been two months and I still cry every day. Life is so lonely without her.

Aww, thank you so much, Patsy. I still miss her a lot. In my profile picture I am hugging my cat, Maggie. She was very motherly, affectionate towards me. I had her for only 9 years but Bailey eased the pain of losing her. Bailey was very babyish and I rocked her a lot, lol. Bailey was always jealous of Maggie and when she died I knew Bailey wouldn't want another cat around. I miss all my cats. I miss doting on them, their crazy, funny behavior and most of all their love. I am seriously considering adopting another cat this spring. I just have to find a way to get to a shelter to see them. Thank you for your kind words.

Lori, I have just now read all the beautiful comments and done this puzzle in memory of Bailey. It's been more than two years, and I'm sure you still miss her sometimes. She was very special, and the two of you had a special relationship. In this photo she looks her very sweetest. Wishing you sweet memories. -Patsy

Oh VTsnowangel....your Bailey sounds like she was really special.....it's so good to have so many good memories of our furr baby. The pain will get less I know, but it takes time and how much time it'll take is different for each personally! So take all the time you need, as do I! ♥
Hugs, Impie!

Thank you, Wendy, She'll be in my heart forever.

Dear Impie, I could see by your posts and pictures, how much you loved Goofie. My heart goes out to you as well. I knew I made the right decision on January 23 but I question myself as well. It must be part of the grieving process. I am so thankful for all the happiness, comfort and love Bailey gave me. I have never felt so alone and my apartment so empty. I'm trying to focus on how happy she was chasing the laser pointer. Running straight up the cat tree and hanging her head upside down staring at me, mouth open with anticipation of me throwing her a cat toy. Her little paws wiping my tears away every time I cried.

Impie

I'm so very sorry for your loss of your baby Bailey. I know how much you must miss her.....two months is still so fresh and it's no wonder you still cry! I'm still counting the weeks (27 today) and I still choke up easily! I tell myself time and time again I made the right decision before he would suffer and yet it still hurts I had to let him go. He'll be having a good time at the Rainbow bridge and for sure made friends with your Bailey too!
Hang in there! ♡♡

Oh Vtsnowangel, I am so terribly sorry. She was a beautiful cat. It's so sad when one of our fur babies leaves us. She will always be with you in spirit, I know all my pets are. Again, I am so sorry................Wendy

Vtsnowangel

Thank you, Sue. She was a momma's baby. She only wanted me. She would be the first one to greet me.

Gemstone, thank you.

Vtsnowangel

Thank you, Sue1~ Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do. We know it is the right thing though we wish for just one more day.

Thank you, PDeeJigidi~ Heaven would not be Heaven without my beloved cats.

Thank you, jennylmoon~ It will take time to be able to think of her without crying.

Thank you, Jacob ~ I felt fortunate to be able to euthanize her at home instead of at the vet's. To hug her and kiss her goodbye.

Thank you, Calluna~ Thank you. There is always the stages of grief where you question even though you know and do the right thing. I loved the little touch of red in her fur and those long whiskers that tickled me every morning.

Thank you all so much for thinking of Bailey and me. What I wouldn't do see her face staring at me first thing in the morning, just one more time. To hug her in my arms, to feel her paw stroking my face to wipe away my tears, her sweet purrs, her chirps when she finds a bug, her scolding when I was too long in the shower or taking too long to go to bed, touching her soft fur.

Rebecca, thank you. She had all four feet in front near her face. Don't know why she started sleeping in her cat carrier. Could be because it was near the door and she liked to run out in the hallway. She was worth every tear and worry.

Thank you, Babray. I know Bailey and my other cats are waiting for me. I look forward to being with them again.

I am so sorry you have lost your angel. In time your pain will ease and you will remember the happy times with Bailey with a smile but right now she would want you to know she is happy at the Rainbow Bridge playing with her friends. Hugs, Sue ♥

So sorry for your loss and she is alive, well, happy & health in your heart and waiting at the Rainbow Bridge.

RebeccaB

I've been there too. But we wouldn't give up one of those precious days for all the tears. Hang in there, and thanks for sharing this picture that gave me a smile.

Bailey was a beautiful cat! It is such a hard decision, yet it is the most loving one we can make when it is time to say goodbye. Their paw prints are forever on our hearts and we miss them dreadfully when they're gone. I hope you find solace not only in your many wonderful memories of your many years with Bailey, but in knowing you did what was best for her. ♥♥

So sorry for the loss of your beloved Bailey. I know how difficult it is to euthanize your pet ....I lost two beloved dogs several years ago so I know the pain you are going through. God Bless you.

jennylmoon

You had her for such a long time it had to be sooo hard. But you did the best thing for her. Sorry for your loss and hope the pain gets better. It is OK to grieve because I am sure you miss her soo much. Time will heal.

I am so sorry to hear about Bailey, but you made the right, very difficult decision. My MauMau was here at home, too. He was a wandering stray who gave it up to be with me for 14 years. Bailey had a good life with you, I am sure. And you took care of her till the very end. That's the last, best deed we can do.

Vtsnowangel

Thank you so much, Chalyse.
Maybe, when my heart heals.

chalyse

Such a beauty, thanks for sharing her picture. What a love-filled life she much have had ... maybe someday another amazing soul will have the luck to warm its way into your heart as well. Hugs!
