@Bluestockings Happy indeed to read that you're feeling better. G'day @Berkeleyborn I too am a new admirer of this artist. Here's the link to my post of another of his works: https://www.jigidi.com/created.php?id=awhvml5j
@mizbet I had my first dose of the shingles vaccine (Shingrix) on Friday and had a reaction to it. I slept the whole weekend and I feel better today. Thanks!
Gracias, Julita.
You're welcome, Mizbet. I figured it had to be Camden, NJ, but I haven't been feeling great the past couple of days and didn't do anything but the bare basics when posting today. Thanks for your work and for posting another Manievich. I've got it bookmarked. I like solving puzzles of buildings. :-)
@Bluestockings Greetings! This is one of several views of Camden that this artist painted. As I've read it he immigrated to the United States in 1921. Shortly after his arrival he traveled to Camden, New Jersey, where he painted several views of Walt Whitman's neighborhood. I'm going to take a leap here and say this can be interpreted to mean that Manievich, the painter, had a deep appreciation for Whitman, the poet. I have another painting of a Camden scene by this artist and have posted it under my user name. Thanks for sharing a beautiful piece : )
