Oh, Oh. Here Comes Fall

Thanks, alias2v. Elfie used to post pictures of rowan trees filled with berries. She hasn't been on much as her husband was sick and died a month ago.

Sounds fun for you. I am not creative in that way at all. We had art classes from kindergarten on. By 8th grade the art teacher took pity on me and let me mat pictures, wash paint jars and other little tasks instead of doing the projects. I create here only because a computer program does all the work. Huggles.

This weekend I saw a rowan with lots of red berries. Might become a puzzle sometime.

You asked about my art class
It's called Art for Enjoyment, which of course makes us all giggle as we are really just a very sociable group
Like our tutor is brilliant....she puts in a tremendous amount of work on our behalf, and is full of ideas for us to follow, she will introduce us to different styles of artists and always have examples for us, so we don't have the pressure of saying ,I don't know what to do.
This week was drawing with pencils,
Next week autumn fruits in watercolours.
We will touch on various techniques and media, acrylics and pastels Or we may choose to do our own thing.
We have visiting artists and also a live ( clothed ) model
It's all very good natured .
I sit between my friend who is a selling artist ,so I get loads of help from her , and another friend who is a complete beginner. So we gel along beautifully

We don't touch the rowan berries but our Swedish neighbour was saying they make jams and jellies with them.
I am just off to my first 'art' class since lockdown . We will be masked and spaced.

Lovely bright red berries, makes me think a little bit of Christmas ( good heavens, although our shops are fast becoming full of Christmas cards and gifts. ALREADY. )
We have wonderful rose hips and this year the Rowan trees ,( mountain ash) have been spectacularly laden with berries.
