Magnificent Salmon Run, Alaska

Fantastic foto!! It reminds me of a documentary I saw on sharks: Seenbfrom a helocopter one saw a loooong line of sharks gliding along the shore sonewhere in Florida - not 30 ft away from bathers that frolicked carelessly in the waves...
This here looks similar, but it doesn't hive me the creeps.. 😉 Thanks for sharing!

It was in an article I read where scientists stated that there were some salmon that survived & they named these ones ‘kelts’ … Didn’t really delve into it further

Not all salmon die … those that don’t are called ‘kelts’ but not sure why they survive

Actually, once they reach the spawning grounds and release their eggs they die. It is a primal instinct that they are fulfilling.

Luckely they don't know what's going to happen.....
