Spot the Intruder
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
Spot the Intruder!
I was driving around Beamish Museum the other day in a replica 1913 Daimler CC motorbus when I spotted an encampment of re-enactor American GI's and their equipment. When I spotted a space in the lines I couldn't resist parking my bus there for effect.
Here then is the result, my bus flanked by two iconic American army GMC CCKW trucks. On the left is a 1943 model (now UK registered KSU 498) and, on the right, a 1944 model (now UK registered SFF 371). Also, just sneaking in on the right of shot, is a mighty Federal 94x43C tractor unit of 1944 vintage (now UK registered YVL 407).
I suspect that this view could never have happened in the real world!
All of the American vehicles were at the museum as part of their "Dig for Victory" event at the beginning of September 2021.
