I googled Cliff house Restaurant and it said they were closed...I think permanently as a nearby restaurant said closed temporarily.

Oh my!!! This is a very impressive building but very dangerous looking sitting there on the edge of that cliff, yet it is very beautiful. I would be a "little anxious" spending any time in this building because of Earthquakes, but I see it did survive one earthquake in 1903, according to @morepiecesplz. Wow! Thanks for finding and posting this, Cyndi. I had not ever heard of this place.

I had dinner with my Dad at the Cliff House in 1964...was it the 3rd one? Very famous place!

This is actually the second Cliff House, the prettiest of the three, I think. Built by Adolph Sutro, of the Sutro Baths (also a fascinating site)... If it lasted until 1907, that means it survived the horrible earthquake of 1903 - teetering on the cliff like that!
