I was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas at the time of the assassination. It is a memory that is forever etched in my mind.

A tragic event no one can forget.We saw his grave when we went to Arlington in 1995 on a guided tour from France ,very moving.If I remember well only Jackie's grave was close to his at the time ??

I was actually a Freshman in college and in American History class. The professor dismissed us and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, go to your dorms and watch television. History is being made." We did as instructed.

Thanks, Sandi. I remember he was assassinated on the Friday afternoon and my family were glued to the TV all weekend watching the events surrounding this unfold and finally the funeral.
