PutterDutt

Too true.

Could be, could be. But there aren't a lot of brown Landseer Newfies, and I can't imagine someone breeding one to a Shar Pei. Of course, there are plenty of idiots out there trying to make ''Designer'' dogs, irregardless of the differing instinct of the breeds. They don't realize that the benefit of purebreds is that you can predict the dog's basic personality and instincts so you know in advance (if you do your research) if the dog is a good fit for you and your family. Mixed breeds can be wonderful, but you take more of a gamble when you get them. An example would be crossing a Shar Pei (guard dog and fighting dog) with a Newfie (water rescue dog and draft animal). You can have no idea which personality traits the pups will get.

Maybe Newfie? They do come in a brown color.....

I was wondering the same thing, Ellen. Conformation says Shar Pei or Chow, but color says something very different. I wish I could see the size. I'm thinking maybe Shar Pei and Saint Bernard? It's a beautiful dog, tho'.

PutterDutt

Shar Pei mix, maybe?

Beautiful....
