Seems like we are going to live with our unanswered question. Unless some gentle souls come to our rescue and suggest an answer.
Could they be thin slices of bananas ???? A bit strange but why not ?
I am going out. Today is "election day" in Paris (and elsewhere in France). And after voting I'll go and sit outside a café and enjoy a drink. We had thunderstorms and hails (or close to) and heavy rain during the night, but this morning, it's going to be a nice day. Again,, thank you for your nice comments. Keep on posting FOOD puzzles. If you're dumb, mrabelle75, then I am too because I also don't know what those little things are called.

Oh, well thank you, I see now the "missing" chunk of strawberry pie top left !
But then, I still wonder what the "round white things" that cover the strawberry tart are ? You may think I am a bit dumb, but I like to understand what I see after completing a puzzle. Have a nice day, chucklebtoo.

slab: : a thick plate or slice (as of stone, wood, or bread) or, I guess strawberry pies. Or any thick concoctions of stuff.
