Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Henry François Farny (1847–1916) was an American painter and illustrator. He was born in France, but in 1853 his family emigrated to the United States. They settled in Warren, Pennsylvania, near a Seneca reservation. Farny's contact with the Senecas as a child led to a lifetime of interest in the Native Americans of his adopted land.

Thanks for your comment, Clausing. Horses and dogs put up with a lot for us humans. . .

Truer words never spoken on the use of fire arms and horses ;-) thanks for your comments and have a great day @Clausing.

A very nice image of a period of transition in native American culture. I bet that fellow was a good shot, although accuracy for a long shot from horseback is a feat, not made simpler by the difficulty of training your horse to tolerate the blast.
