Diamond T "522HH" Truck - 1954

"Diamond T" was founded in 1905 by C.A. Tilt who originally made shoes, his brand was the letter 'T' surrounded by a diamond. Tilt's son start building cars in 1905 and trucks in 1911.

The "Diamond T" was the Cadillac of trucks, never short on style or class. Flowing fender lines, aggressive grilles and rakish cabs.

In 1950, the new all steel comfort cab models were introduced and continued Diamond T claim as 'America’s Handsomest' motor trucks. They set completely new standards of motor truck design with all new die formed safety cabins with greater visibility and 9” wider than the previous models. Five models were available, the 222, 322, 422, 522 and the 622

In 1967, as a subsidiary of White Motor Company, it was merged with Reo Motor Company to become Diamond Reo Trucks, Inc.

This truck originally owned by a Sawmill, near Melbourne in Australia was bought by Bill Richardson in 1994 and restored in 1997.
