Why are you reporting this puzzle?
"Diamond T" was founded in 1905 by C.A.Tilt who originally made shoes, his brand was the letter 'T' surrounded by a diamond. Tilt's son started building cars in 1905 and trucks in 1911.
The Diamond T was the Cadillac of trucks, never short on style or class. Flowing fender lines, aggressive grilles and rakish cabs.
A new face lift came in 1938 with more chrome strips in the grill, longer one piece mudguards and new improved V type windscreen. This model was available from 1938 to 1949, with just a grille update along the way. Available was the 201, 306, 404 and the 509.
In 1967, as a subsidiary of White Motor Company, it was merged with Reo Motor Company to become Diamond Reo Trucks, Inc.
This truck, bought new by a farmer in New Zealand, was commandeered by the army during World War II and used at Burnham. John Cron of Haast then owned the truck from 1945-73. Bill Richardson bought it 1977 and was restored in 1980.
